Not all Mothers and families with newborns require assistance postnatally, but for some, support and guidance in those early days / weeks is essential.
With cuts in community midwifery services, a new Mother may find she has little contact with essential support and care.
The role of a Postnatal Doula is to provide practical, emotional and informational support tailored to your specific needs.
This flexible service offered at Beau Baby for Mothers / families of newborns, will support you in your own home bringing reassurance whilst you find your feet, enabling you to bond with your baby and for you to get some much needed rest.
What is required for one family may not suit another. Roles undertaken are:
– Practical and emotional support.
– Debrief of the birth.
– Care of baby whilst Mum gets some rest.
– Breastfeeding support.
– Infant feeding support.
– Support to Mum as she attends all babies needs.
– Supporting partner / older siblings.
